A collaboration project, “When the wild instrument sing!” How a custom-made instrument inspires new notation design based on body action, which results in new sounds. Performed by Non-Ensemble: Artist Sherko Abbas, designer and player of the handmade instrument (Damaqachan.) Khabat Abas, Cello. Hardi Kurda, composition, prepared viola and live electronics.
• June, 19 CIC.19615. Performed by Non-Ensemble: Kate Ryder, piano and live electronics. Khabat Abas, Cello. Mansoor Hosseini, daf and cymbal and this project made by Hardi Kurda, which also plays prepared violin and live electronics. This concert revolves around integrating different aspects of critical thinking of music creation, through a combination of improvisation and composition.
